I think this stinks. I have been hoping Ask could build it's search into a competitive engine. Their interface was nice but we all know that's not enough. I'm surprised they didn't stick it out longer. read more »

When a searcher activates AskEraser, Ask will stop recording the searcher's search queries and cookie information. This information includes IP address, User ID, Session ID, and the complete query text. read more »

Funny how PR teams come up with names of products before they are developed. AskEraser doesn't erase data, it never writes the data anywhere to erase it. What should AskEraser really be called? read more »

Of the major search engines, Ask.com is the only one that has never had a URL submission form. Now you can finally submit your URLs through sitemaps and a pinging service. Of course, it doesn't guarantee you'll get listed. But it might make you feel read more »
