Decoding Google's toolbar broadcast:Does Google use toolbar PR as a "change your stuff or find yourself kicked out soon" message? Deducting toolbar PR lowers the prices, will less toolbar PR lower the amount of link purchases? Toolbar PR deductions without significant effects on traffic aren't penalties, so why does Google manipulate this meaningless but closely monitored thingy?

22 Vote(s)

Blogger.com has a sad history of blocking crawlers. They throw rel-nofollow crap like confetti, they recently inserted NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW robots meta tags on various Google blogs (not all Google bloggers discovered it until today!), and earlier this year they blocked crawlers from indexing all blogs leaving their blogspot.com domain. The newest nonsense seems to be blocking crawling of blogspot hosted blogs publishing too much "shared contents".

20 Vote(s)

If HTML would be allowed, I'd hotlink a hot cat pic, but for now just follow the external link.I'm not sure whether cat fights belong to a "cats" category or not, but hey, since cats can dance, fight and all that probably "cats" fits best. Ok, I've abused Vanessa's post so that she can add a second Sphinn badge ... she really said "Sometimes you want to go where everybody doesn't bury you the second they see your name".

3 Vote(s)
