So as most people in the marketing field know (or should know) the 4 traditional P's of the marketing mix are: a4Producta4Pricea4Place (distribution)a4PromotionNow this model was designed somewhere in the 1940's and has served the marketing industry fairly well. However with the emergence of the World Wide Web and the infiltration of the internet into the marketing fraternity I have decided to come up with the 4 M's of the digital marketing mix.

4 Vote(s)

Where in the hek could this guy be posting from, Alabama? Louisiana? No my fellow seo gurus I come from way south, that misunderstood and little explored ( well by the doyens of Sphinn anyway) corner of the world called South Africa. Not a lot of mention is made of S.A( not South Australia) in Sphinn posts or SEO documentation in general so I thought I would give a little overview of the SEO industry ( South Africa has an SEO industry, wow!!) in the Southern tip of Africa.Well I work in a reputable (well not since I have joined) digital agency in Johannesburg, we apply all the latest SEO techniques (like spending hours on the meta keyword tag- this is still the most important SEO tool right?) The digital revolution is booming here in S.A and I'm pretty lucky to have various international sources to rely on if ever in a jam-Andy Beal, you are a gentleman and a scholar.Seriously we are at the cutting edge of digital marketing in South Africa and I'm lucky to be involved in SEO, a dynamic industry, similar to high school ( as many posts have agreed on)with new innovations always sneaking up on me, I mean when I started mnage a tois I mean 3 way linking was the big thing and even that has somewhat lost its lustre.Just a final though on the hullabaloo coming out of SMX on whether the advanced SEO techniques are black hat or white hat, does it matter? In this world of globalization and the most dynamic information movement ever experienced why do we feel a need to classify everything ( especially SEO techniques) From a brief history of my county you intrinsically know it's not the right way to do things.I'm off for my long weekendPeace and loveMarc

3 Vote(s)
