Maybe it's just me, but I think that perhaps when the speed of new submissions is at a certain rate that perhaps the amount of Sphinns needed for a story to go popular currently being used might be a little high. As I post this, the last 25 "hot" stories span over 50 hours of "going hot" (from "Went Hot: October 7, 2007 - 7:30 am" to "Went Hot: October 9, 2007 - 10:43 am"). I went 10 pages in, and before the stories seemed to be going hot at a slightly faster clip back then, with only a little over 24 hours being represented on a single page.Thoughts?

36 Vote(s)

Two out of two times now I have had problems trying to send messages using the Sphinn AJAX contact form (both in IE and FF, same error). What's worse is that the error message gives no indication if a message actually got through or not, so not sure if multiple attempts are needed or are spamming the person in question. All it says is:there was an error. error number 1Also, after bombing out there is no close button, you have to refresh the whole page in order to clear it.Anyone else having any luck using the system? The first time I eventually gave up trying to send the full message, and just sent my email address until it gave a success message. :)PS Danny, if you see this drop me an email if you get a chance please. :D

2 Vote(s)
