Now, admittedly, I've stepped away from studying search for a couple months as I concentrate on other projects. This, though, took me by total surprise. Is this just normal 'G-Funk' or has Google updated some things recently? Now, there appears to be a search field for given sites in the Google SERPs.

2 Vote(s)

It finally happened! vBulletin released a beta of version 3.7 which includes social networking components, customizable profiles, etc... This enables thousands of forums with the features that made SN so popular. So I wonder how this will effect the wal-marts of social networking like MySpace and Facebook? Will the focus slowly start to shift from huge sites to more niche markets?Granted, it's way too early to tell, but you have to stop for a second and wonder.

6 Vote(s)

I am sphinning this because I think that this is a great post to maybe help people (like myself) take a leap into something they might seem a little insecure about. The part about how SEObook's blog started was especially great seeing as how I've been tossing around the idea of really starting something but a little scared of the idea of putting myself 'out there.' Also, I thought the sentences about how Frank Schilling has moved to the top of the domaining industry was really motivating seeing as how most thought Mr. Schilling was 'late in the game.' I think that a lot of us (especially me) might be a little discouraged to do what we want because there are already so many great professionals already out there. Maybe, especially seeing this post from a prominent name in the industry I am getting into, it makes me want to 'just do it.'

8 Vote(s)
