As those of you unlucky enough to ask me what I think about testing can attest - I'm passionate about it - to a fault. Web designers regularly let air out of my car tires and throw eggs at my house for suggesting they should use the 'ugly' version of a page that performed better than their 'baby.'Andy's post, in the form of an interview with Bryan Eisenberg, covers the basics of testing and how important it can be to any customer touch point situation.I only disagree with the '1-week rule' but I think the point being made is that you can get a 'gut reaction' earlier than statistical significance might allow. That I believe. It's hard to live and die by twice-standard-deviation sample sizes in the rapid-fire world of web marketing all the time.

4 Vote(s)
