Apparently, if somebody does a Whois search at Network Solutions, Network Solutions is "purchasing" the domains and holding them so that that particular name is only available for purchase at Network Solutions (at their very high prices).I plugged the following Domain into the Network Solutions Whois: google-yahoo-msn-ask-facebook-digg.com (and didn't purchase it). I checked the domain availability at 2 other registrars and it's being shown as not available (and I encourage you to do the same).Apparently this is legal...and it's also F***ed up (and I hope they will now get nailed for cybersquatting).

7 Vote(s)

It went off-line due to "too much automatic querying" but 9 months later, it's back though you need to use different syntax than before.

6 Vote(s)

In my e-interview with Stephen, I ask him reasonably basic domaining questions...the stuff that an SEO who wants to find out more about the domaining field might want to ask a domain expert (if they ever got the opportunity). Hope you all like the interview.

16 Vote(s)
