No doubt if some one does social book marking in best way it will prove too much beneficial for site Ranking and traffic.

A good read that’s also backed up by evidence. I wish more SEO articles were like this instead of just opinion and speculation.
Social media is an important tool to drive traffic, and it can have indirect repercussions on SEO especially with regards to natural linkbuilding.

Interesting article, however, I think it overlooks one important aspect: time from initial post. The half-life of a blog post has a very fast decay, so while it’s true that social media can delivery a big bump, the probability of it happening goes down pretty fast the more stale the post is.
@igrigorik Articles instantly gets rankings once they are submitted to social media networks and promoted properly. They typically receive the highest daily "organic" visitors in the following days after the promotion. CONTENT IS KING as always, so writing a quality article is key in receiving long tail traffic in the long term.
Figures, someone had to drop a drug link. How wonderful.Good story though. Getting to the front page of any popular social media site is certainly key. :)
