I want to know how he find the editors for his first link building tactic, what kind of site to look for. Is he submitting to blogs?  Ezines?  Small sites that could benefit from his articles? 

This could make for an interesting follow-up

I like the point that what is good for gaining traffic to a Google user's site is also good for Google's traffic and revenue, and therefore good for your own traffic and ratings.
