What If A Client Doesn’t Like Link Building? Not work with them and move on, j/k sort of. To be honest I have worked with a lot of websites in the past that link building was not an issue, just content, arhcitecture and other things.
stupidity.. seriously..dont use link schemes and keep the client.YOU DONT NEED TO DO LINKBUILDING TO DO SEO.and if links are your crutch... Geesh. Do PR, buy ads in channel verticials and get a link for free.Buy Yahoo! Express submit, buy some category sponsorships..i dont have ANY link pages on ANY of the websites i do SEO for (50+).adapt... or die.. p.s. feel free to send the client my way... i dont want people leaving their website either.
I dont consider any of those methods to be link schemes...theyre simply ways of getting the site out there in terms of visibility. In regards to your comment: "i dont have ANY link pages on ANY of the websites i do SEO for (50+)."why is that relevant? No one is talking about having link pages.
While it is true you dont absoutly need direct linkbuilding to do seo, it is a very useful tactic for increasing your search engine rankings. Ultimitly, if you use these other methods you mention that ultimitly increase your online visibility, you will ususally get more links as well. So even without direct linkbuilding, seo/smo in general will usually lead to inbound links.
I completely agree.
@paisley Did you even read the article? Try getting your shit together before you mouth off and look stupid....seriously.
Well, to really rank on Google you need an army of links, all sending page rank to your web pages. Sadly, without links you will not rank very high for competitive keywords.
