Very good find Brendan...I stumbled this story page. :)
Its nice to see posts like this coming from people in the field. Gives a better perspective as to whats going on in ones head. For me, it removes a little bit of that "I must be insane" when I recognize others are living life at a similar pace.
Wow, what a fascinating post from Rand. That absolutely read like the first chapter of his autobiography, didnt it?Rand...be sure you DO get that sleep you need. Its going to become even more important in the coming years for you. Its amazing when youre young how you can draw on that endless store of crazy energy with almost no repercussions. Seems to me that changes when you hit your 30s, at which point, youve got to care about yourself enough to learn when to rest if youre going to be your best when you need to be.This was really an enjoyable post. Thanks for Sphinning this, Brendan.
thats some serious hustle.
Modern literature. :)
Throw two small kids and a love of sports into the frame and that post could be me.... rush, rush hectic rush ....
I hope yall make some stoopid chedda (lot of money) cause that kind of schedule sounds like it requires an awful lot of sacrifice.
To me, this kind of post is what blogging was originally about - train of thought, diary style writing. Its kinda sad to see blogging commercialized to such an extreme these days. Thanks for reminding us what blogging should be Rand. But what the heck are you doing answering 100 emails? Didnt Andys training teach you the importance of delegating? heh heh
Im really thrilled that everyone here liked it - I know there were some complaints that it went "off-topic" a bit.Ryan - we dont make great money now, but were hopeful that this work is investing in the long term and that 1-2 years now, the financial will catch up to the rest.
