Their claim? The content doesn't meet their "quality standards". Lame.

The BlogRush hiatus has ended. :P
Triple super ditto on the Lame-o from a fellow inactive Blogrusher.
Maybe they are just closing the shop and send this message to everybody. I got one too.
Things are a bit muddled over there, but I feel they have a massive job to do, and if they weed out all the spammy sites it's better for all of us no? :)
I think it actually has to do with whether or not you have the Blogrush widget installed on your blog. While this is hardly a measure of the "quality" of your blog, it makes sense from their perspective. They want to keep people on that are actively using it.
It does, Brian, and John commented saying that this may be the case. However, with regards to their "quality guidelines," I don't see any mention of the existence of the widget to determine quality. They obviously missed that part when they drafted their email.
In any event, it's not a loss to me, but for those who still cared, I figured it would be worth bringing to the attention of others. Like I said before, it's overrated, and I'm not changing my mind.
Ha ha ha.... well poo poo to ya'll then. I was 'accepted' - the wierd part? I took the widget off of my site after about a week and it hasn't been back yet. Not sure if I will even be using it really.... Here's what I got via email
You are receiving this update because your blog has passed our strict

blog and we are happy you're a member of our network!
They must have hired some QA people from Digg.
Nope, these "reviews" are done by amoebas. I was rejected and got the funny email although I've the widget on a links page. Or maybe the Reese dudes didn't like my "BlogRush is a scam" post ...
They might just be a little over-sensitive as to what constitutes hate. Are you a BlogRush widget hate monger, or do you just think it's basically pointless?
The blog’s content (or advertising) should not contain any of the following types of content: hate
>> They must have hired some QA people from Digg.
That made my day Lee. Damn funny.
FYI I got an apology comment from John Reese on my blog. I am sure he is having a crappy day. I don't wish these guys any ill will but their actions today are akin to the Eddie Murphy getting arrested with that transvestite hooker in his car.
Celebrity + Trouble = Headlines
John Reese's apology is in vain.
HOW the heck can you hire no-good surfers with 10 bucks per day to maintain a "quality score" ?
I got the congrats email:
"-------------------------------------------------------------
Congratulations!

The FUNNY thing is that I've NEVER installed the widget, NEVER blog about them and never planned to do either.
He, he, he.
I just updated my post with a Facebook Flyer I spotted yesterday on my account. I typically have banner blindness for such ads, but I actually was compelled to see who was behind this one. Yes, it went to BlogRush.
I got an approval "Congratulations" message... despite that I only ran the widget for about a day and it's been gone ever since.
Certainly a (hopefully innocent or even careless) mistake at BlogRush to exclude Tamar.
Dang! I haven't gotten any email at all. I feel so small and insignificant.
I took the widget off my knitting blog because I just can't be running links to "The Tampon Blog" etc. The widget is in the footer of my other blog.
I also got the CONGRATS email and have also not used the widget in ages...
Darren is still running Blogrush
http://www.livingroom.org.au/photolog/
He has been running it on that blog the whole time, and it is the only one of his blogs that I know he was running it on.
Some people were dropped it seems because at the time their site was evaluated, they didn't have much content as might be the case with Andrew's, but John suggests it was a problem with the URL entered.
I can't work out is why Andrew's rejection letter gave a specific reason why the rejection was made, and Tamar's and Cristian's did not.
The Facebook advertising is most likely an affiliate, did you check the redirects?
Cristian your own post states they were paying $12 per hour for the evaluation. John stated in his email
Maybe they did hire some Diggers, or possibly there was some other problem.
I am actually more concerned about the junk that remains "in" rather than peole who might have been temporarily removed during the beta, in an attempt to get improved CTR
As some of you were alpha and beta testers of Sphinn, how do you delete your Sphinn profile and why couldn't you use voting links when it launched as a beta?
Why can't I still validate my Facebook without a mobile phone?
@baiduyou
That's not exactly a "hate post":

Wait, I got accepted and I wrote that it was a MLM idea for traffic... I even pulled the widget after viewing a link to a "suggestive" image blog. I replaced the javascript with a picture of their widget. Who is at the wheel here?
