Interesting comparison of flocking behavior and social media patterns such as the Digg effect. Even has a link to a cool simulator where you can flock birds and shoot at them to scatter them.

I can sense some complex theoretical studies on Digg user behaviour on the way...

Shame on everyone who thought it was just another forum for sensationalist linkbaiting and misleading headlines.

Digg is a great Apple forum indeed. Also best source for game console ads, Linux nerd stuff and bizarre tabloid news.
