Matt, I dont think Ive seen "black hat" associated with PPC before...sure, they are breaking the rules by using multiple accounts, but that isnt traditional "black hat", is it?
Todd -- dont shoot me, Im just the messenger. :-)
There are lots of black hats involved in PPC. Some might say they built AdSense. ;) Some might even say they built AdWords (through click fraud). Lots of folks live on the dark side, not just SEO.
Regardless of the black hat debate, Im going to see if this Facebook Flyers thing will be a good tool to marketing my wifes real estate business. I love the incredibly deep geo-targeting you described in the post, Jon.
cool. let me know how it goes...
Facebook shut that down within 2 days. Hardly new that someone would take advantage of a new traffic system.
Mikkel wrote a very good article back in 05 on blackhat PPC - worth linking here again:http://www.e-marketing-news.co.uk/Mar05/black-hat-ppc.html
Thanks for sharing! The screencaps made the article even more valuable.
