Nick, great find! I’ve been posting links to those Google News docs for quite some time in reference to date based URIs. Google has been working hard to provide a variety of ways to present data to them. I’m finding all this Web 2.0 stuff to be full of back doors, side doors, windows, attics, basements, etc! That whole RSS/RDF thing is pretty awesome too.Sitemaps. I would think that is pretty much a given these days. It enforces the architecture of the site at a higher level. :)

Yep useful info from Patrick as always. Getting your feed picked up by Gogle news has an awesome effect on the traffic. As I explain to my girls here, link building 2.0. is connecting up more aggregators for our RSS feeds. Some people still don’t get the potential of RSS as a news distribution method. The Google News SiteMap Generator plugin has just become an essential install

I believe this has been the case for a couple months now.  I wrote about it at http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/019294.html
