Poor Ralph, he gets a bad rep at times. I like the guy, well versed, funny, stays abreast of trends, is active in the community and is well respected by many of the big names in this industry. If you are not following @fantomaster on Twitter, hook up now. I look forward to seeing his participation amongst me networks. That guy doesnt do too many interviews either. Hes got a mysterious cloak around him. ;)
Thanks for the pitch. Currently working on some more interviews good people have signed me up for but as long as our fantomas timeGenerator™ is still in pre-beta, it takes much longer than it should, heh.
Should definitely click through to read the full interview at searchengineblog.com, it definitely helps to get the context behind some of the quotes.
Some great insight in this interview. I knew there was a reason I liked this guy. Tells it like it is and has a real fresh outlook on the industry.
Ive known Ralph pretty well for quite a while now . We have the same personal barber and we go to the same gym PLUS theres a family connection. My sister-in-laws cousin used to date Ralphs step mothers ex-boyfriend.And after knowing him that well what I think is most important for the sphinn communiity to know is that whether you agree with him or not, whenever he speaks search or marketing , the wise listen. Discard him at your own peril. He is one of the very best conceptual teachers on the net.
hmm.... that write up is from 2004... :)
That date wasnt there before! Okay, maybe it was. Talk about blindness. I wonder how I missed that date sitting right up there like that? It must have ended up above my viewport. :) Maybe you can provide some updates and get Ralph to provide some complimentary information for what you have there.
I am sure I wasnt the only one who noticed the date (or who thought it deja vu all over again) but simply quietly voted. Applauded even. Actually, I giggled. However, for those who see an expiry date rather than a date of publication - please use the power of hindsight to itemise the errors that time has wrought... Mmm? ;)
Good job guys...:D
