Excellent post.
What I appreciate most about this is that it shows:
1) Universal Search is real, and works.
2) If you intelligently apply yourself, you can leverage this "technology"
3) It's not just a Universal Search tool: it's also a Local Search solution.
4) Smart attracts Smart: The client appreciated the intellect of the chiropractor.
Some good insights as well. Ya' gotta' hand it to Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask for giving us some wonderful new toys to play with to the benefit of our clients.
best,
ME
Glad you liked the post! I appreciate you letting me tell the story. Keep us posted on any more business you get from video.
Great story. And, as I commented on the article page, this example is particularly savvy, because it didn't even cost time. Basically, it just re-monetized time that you were already getting paid for (as I'm assuming that woman was a paying client, and not someone who was "acting" for the sole purpose of making the video). Excellent article, and an excellent example.
Had it not been for the community here on Sphinn stories like this would likely not come to be. I appreciate the opportunity to participate and share what's working in the real world environment of my small business.
@RichContent: Your #3 mention is an area of great opportunity for anyone in local search.
@asnider: I like how you put it into words. We've been testing various "re-monetized time" techniques, some being as simple as asking clients questions that are later converted into blog posts.
The lesson here for your small business clients would be to get them engaged on some level so you can better serve their needs.
The beauty of the video was it was so simple. Having gone to a chiropractor myself, I felt like I was next in line for an adjustment.
