Getting your blog article sphinned" a bunch of emails to your friends with a 'please sphinn request'.
Having your site offline when you make the front page of sphinn: Priceless.
I get a negative one for pointing out that the link is down? Or was it for pointing out that sphinn is being gamed?
This place is starting to combine all the spam qualitiies of digg run by a bunch of finicky slashdot users.
Dark humour just isn't my cup of tea.
Wheel, the site isn't down, perhaps it was for a brief moment or you got caught up in the bad behavior plugin, that happens from time to time. As far as gaming Sphinn goes: bigpond, the submitter, and I have never met or had any correspondence, hence why I thanked him/her for the submit. I hope that satisfies your curriosity and/or pessimissim :)
I'll say now that I didn't have a clue who John was when I submitted. I still don't. I submitted because I liked the post. Kinda thought that was the idea of Sphinn...
@John - you're a trip. :P I have deliberately avoided there for over a week now, but I can guess what the atmosphere is like.
Btw, while your site was not down, it did hang on some Javascript. Although I don't know what the script was, it was a severe hang, as in worse than Sphinn used to be. Might want to trim that down a bit.
@Any Admin... was that really Dave (original) being that obnoxious, or was someone trying to character-assassinate him?
