PageRank is just a number, it’s a means to an end, and not the end itself. Why are people obsessing over it? If Google came around and gave everybody a PR10 tomorrow what would happen?

If *everyone* has had their PR reduced then relative to everyone else you’re all at the same place you were before you started.Discuss.

Well that’s exactly one of the points I made in my post. It seems that the drops are fairly universal in which case the playing field is still level. I asked the question if anyone had seen an increase.
