This is actually some important stuff peeps - we all know about ’bad neighbourhoods’ and TrustRank type applications - but what if there are a bunch of spammy sites on your shared hosting account? These patents from Yahoo show how search engines may classify spam at the host level... Certainly worth consideration...

This is very interesting stuff on TrustRank and other trust issues tied up in the IP address you sit on. They talk about how other people on your IP address (in a shared hosting environment) may be slowing you down if they are bad domains. Good recommendations for tools to use to view this data too. Good read.
