That was a pretty good read and I almost went right by it because of the default green avatar of the person who posted the Story. One of these days people will learn to add a little identity to their profile and get much more bang for their bytes! Good piece that Im sure many around here are going to write off as not SEO and something that the dev is responsible for. I will never forget those words. :)
Glad you read it. I know what you mean about the avatar, but Im not gonna bit the hand that feeds me ;-)I know what you mean about thats "something dev is responsible for." Ive heard it myself. Of course you and I know that dev doesnt care. Theyve got other things to worry about.
Yes, Ive been lazy. Fixed.
You made some excelent points. However you missed something important. Web Analytics.
@SeoRabbit: I dedicated a paragraph to it in #1, but youre right. That is definately important enough to be a seperate bullet. I wasnt really trying to hit the article from that angle."As an SEOer, you should never stop studying these factors and testing different tactics on your own. And if you want to be really great at understanding these factors, you’ll need to become good at analysis and documentation. What changes did I make? What impact did those changes have? Were they good? Were they bad? Where else can I test them?"
