Folks, this is a really nice roundup of search engines that many of us don’t hear about. I’d definitely take the time to peruse the list and check them out. We may be able to learn something about the future of search mashups. Google is just one method of search. ;)

Sadly most of them are there for years without any real impact and just two them had real potential IMHO. Powerset has been bought and killed by Microsoft though and Lexxe lacks momentum inspite of good results in English.

most of these are doomed to fail anyway, particularly Hakia - too many bad marketing moves.
