I’m always up for a good discussion about Avatars especially when it contains a link to my site and an article that I wrote about them. I’m commited to helping people get their Avatars in order. Whenever I see an Avatar Injustice, I will speak up quickly. :) And for those of you still using the default green avatar around here, I rarely look at or read anything from those bots. In fact, I’ll usually flag most stuff as spam if it is a default avatar. In most instances. That is what I think of them. Oh, and those Twitter DOO-DOO Avatars, don’t use those, you’ll get BLOCKED quickly. There are very few exceptions. ;) I do believe that certain branded Avatars work well for some. They can get away with not using a picture.
I love this post. It’s amazing how many avatars are not thought about at all. This post gives some good tips on how to create a professional avatar for yourself.
My mean green face works just fine for me!
My canoeing photo avatar isn’t the best approach but I’ve broken way too many cameras trying to get a closeup avatar photo.
