The tips in here are somewhat vague and generic IMHO - the recent SEOmoz post on this topic which I think is much more useful: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-rank-well-in-google-products-search-a-big-list-of-places-to-get-reviews

Hi Jaamit. Thanks for sharing that article with us. We cover many of the same points in our articles, but there is one point in the SEOmoz article that I really liked. Both articles talk about reviews playing a large part in the ranking of your items, but the SEOmoz article mentions Google Checkout reviews being weighted more heavily than reviews from 3rd party sites, which makes perfect sense. It is definitely a good idea to make sure you have Google Checkout enabled for your store.
