Twitter gurus will try to tell you that Twitter is only for relationships. However, they are wrong on both accounts. They are neither gurus (a ridiculous term for anyone to give themselves) and Twitter can be used for much more than relationships.

I enjoyed reading that. Liked the examples too. I’m hoping there aren’t too many people that are classifying Twitter as only being for relationships. That sounds more like Match or something. :) For most, Twitter is about relationships. Even in the push marketing case, there is a relationship there. Just a different type of relationship. And there are many times where the two cross paths and are very successful. For businesses, it’s time to forget about the idea that Twitter is only for relationships. Companies need to seriously consider what Twitter can do for their company right now. Twitter is very well positioned to help companies provide better customer service and to market their products and services. Seriously? Twitter during prime time selling hours is horrid for business purposes. Twitter first need to address the weaknesses across their platform before businesses take it too seriously. They have average response times now of over 1000.00 ms. http://www.pingdom.com/reports/vb1395a6sww3/check_overview/?name=twitter.com%2FhomeYes, Twitter is the in thang right now and probably will be for quite some time. They really need to get the platform squared away first before too many businesses sink their teeth into this. Twitter was the first to make it big capitalizing on the SMS Protocol. There will be others that follow suit. Twitter is first to market and will most likely remain the leader. Time will tell. Again, thanks for giving me something to comment about that is positive. :)

Well, it depends on who you are and what you offer. Big brands like Dell can push but if you push as a small time SEO you won’t succeed.
