Editing an .htaccess can be a scary thing even for someone who, when they were 13 and needed to print graphics on their dot-matrix printer, spent the week writting a printer driver in machine language using just a hex calculator, a text editor and a byte-code reference book. (Points at self.)I’m often amazed at any non-technicals that can edit their .htaccess files by hand and keep the site up at the same time.
