Well to be honest if the management at Sphinn cares an iota about PR then they're probably not the astute business people I would think was running the business.
They are not a link selling business, they are an "Internet Marketing News & Discussion Forum"
Therefore the consumer visits the site not because they have a nice Google green ingot rating but because they wish to read about and / or discuss internet marketing news (which cannot be completely drowned by PR dribble.. no offense )
When you visit real businesses through out the course of the week take note to see how many have the Google ingot indicator on the walls.
The bank where I make my frequent deposits and do business does not have one.
