@webgrafix There is always one comment like this everytime... If you dont like the government leave the country, if you dont like the rules.. quit. Not all of us can just leave, quit, and run everytime something is done with poor planning and unfair to a community. Reddit is open source and so is Pligg.. and some people make their own communities. In fact you can make your own communities on Mixx well before Reddit... but that is not the point of the article. :(
Reddit used to be a great site but it go over-run in 2007 by poltical reactionaries and most "un-reasonable" people... dont think much of the community there.
Reddit is run by spammers now :) you should see the begs they send insiders.... please review our app... please blog about our new thingy. Such a shme there is no honor among theives like that.
Wow sounds like reddit has a real problem
I did a few google searches with his username on reddit and uncovered 5-10 spam submissions pretty quickly. It seems that others in the comments on the article did the same. As a reddit user and an SEO (who has never used reddit for SEO) I think its pretty obvious why he was banned. Hes the reason they hate SEOs...
Thanks so much for the info thats been provided in the post.I really appreciate the effort thats been taken for posting the article.I would look forward to more such articlesElizaRecruitment Agency
@vokiau,On the SEJ post Someone (reddit user) noted some legitimate submissions that I made and called them spam. BTW I noticed you just registered on Sphinn 5-18-09 and you have one comment one sphinn cast and zero information about yourself in your profile.Doesnt seem like you have been spending much of your SEO time here. Did you register to Sphinn just to make that one comment?
Yes, I did register just to post one comment, but here I am, back posting number 2...Let me give you some examples of the legitimate submissions that were talking about here: http://*www.totalcriminaldefense.com/news/articles/unusual/baggy-pants.aspx?LangType=1033http://*www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/2009/04/top-10-signs-your-are-stuck-in-a-bad-marriage/http://*www.shoutmeloud.com/step-by-step-guide-to-install-self-hosted-wordpress-blog-on-dreamhost-hosting-service.htmlhttp://*www.runnerstrainingguide.com/running-with-the-rabbit-and-other-ways-to-defeat-running-boredom/Those are all clearly spam (links broken on purpose) any SEO who takes the time to look at them knows that. It irks me (as an SEO, a reddit user and as an honest person) that you would write a long rant about how reddit is broken and youve been banned, when all youve been doing is spamming reddit. It would be much more honourable to just admit that it was a dumb thing to do and move on.
yokiau,Those are all submission I made becasue they were things that I found interesting. Its ok if you dont like it but just because you dont like it doesnt make it spam.I highly doubt you are an SEO and I dont think you have a clue what your talking about. Youre a reddit user commenting here in an attempt to discredit the post that exposed the shenannigans going on over at reddit.Since you just registered you will need to wait another 5 days before you can desphinn the post.I know its killing you. ;-)
Gerald. I do like the way youve now resorted to personal attacks agains me and sarcasm. That clearly shows that the level of debate youre going to engage in here is equal to the brilliance you showed in those reddit submissions. We all know that theyre spam. Take this one for example: http://*www.totalcriminaldefense.com/news/articles/unusual/baggy-pants.aspx?LangType=1033. "Criminal defense lawyer" is a valuable keyword. Funny that that article should have a link to the root of the site using that same anchor text. It was also submitted to Digg and Reddit at aroundabout the same time and all the people submitting it had a username starting with g... Isnt that funny. To me that looks like an SEO trying to get some link love to an article and channeling it to the page you want to appear for the query. I could go on. As to me being an SEO or not. Ive been doing SEO since before Google - when Alta Vista was still king and meta keywords made a difference.Im not going to desphinn this post - I think its more valuable to have the most people possible see it - most people who have a clue about SEO will read it and easily deduce that youre a spammer (and a poor one at that).
yokiau,The criminal defense site you are referencing actually had a very interesting article about constitutional rights. It was something I found interesting and thus submitted it. To me it was quality content and apparently Im not the only one that felt that way.
yokiau,Its really doesnt matter if you have been donig SEO for years not my point. You are not an active contributing memeber of the Sphinn community. You have zero information about yourself in your profile. You registered here just so you could call me a spammer. Fine by me but Theres the reason for my sarcasm. Im glad you were able to pick up on that.
