Great post David. You don’t hear Local Search being discussed very often. And it seems like the companies who are practicing local search, are often more involved with PPC, or start out with a PPC campaign. But any company who is running a local PPC campaign, actually has a good start and can use these paid campaigns as a framework for building an organic search campaign. The nice thing with Adwords is that you can see which local terms are converting well on your site, and you can use search query reports to find what keywords are bringing traffic to your site. If you already have a PPC account going, you have a lot of information to utilize in building an organic campaign.
