The monkeys are running the zoo. While Wikipedia might be an OK starting point for some things, it certainly should never be cited as a primary source or one of significant authority.

I think this just puts a focus on the fact that you should always find multiple sources on a subject to ensure you have valid data before you start speaking on something. Wikipedia can be good as a source as long as you have other sources to confirm the data with.

Wikipedia makes me laugh now. Yet, I find myself going back to it for most of my college homework.

I’ve grown tired of lazy people actually citing Wikipedia as a source. It might be a nice first stop for some industry facts or terms, but I would never want to reference it (unless it was in a critical way). Go after the citations/true sources that are referenced and cite them internally and in presentations. I do the same thing with eMarketer, which is widely quoted (especially with screenshots that seem to push copyright fair use limits). I visit the original sources when available.
