Thanks for the submit! Tried it myself but I destroyed the link: http://sphinn.com/story/115708So here again the comment I wrote:To all those NOT on the list (most of my friends) this was probably the most difficult list I ever have written. It took me more time to decide who should finally remain on the list than actually compiling the list in the first place. Maybe Ill do one each Friday now :-)
Any list Im on gets a Sphinn. :DTad, be honest now ... did my tweet yesterday about how much I stink push me over the top? Because theres plenty more where that came from.
Awesome list, thanks for putting me on it! ;)
I understand you are shying away from the heavy-hitters, but not putting Darren Rowse (problogger) on this list is like leaving Warren Buffet off of a list of "People Who Know Stuff About Investing." The guy has 64,000 followers for a reason--hes the best there is. I think youre doing an injustice to the Sphinn members who dont sleep, eat and breathe SEO.And now that I have vented, I will Sphinn.
I think the point ericprudolf was to include people who were accessible. Even if the list was 200 long, there would have been worthy people who had been left off. And while Rowse is far more accessible than your average web superstar, the fact is with 64,000 followers youre never likely to become cohorts. Tads point was to highlight people you can develop real relationships with.
Understood. But at a minimum, the title should be changed to "30 Accessible SEO Twitter Users" or "30 SEO Twitter Users Who Will Return an Email." The post takes on a whole new meaning when you name it correctly. There is a huge difference between "must follow" and "accessible." My neighbor who is an Accountant thinks he knows everything about medicine. But if my son falls out of the tree in our backyard, Im not going to take him to the neighbors house for treatment just because he happens to be home.If you want to add value to this article (for a possible Part II down the road) give me a reason to follow each of these people. What do they know? What do they specialize in? What are each of them good at? Why do you believe their information is worth reading? Otherwise, if everyone on this list (presumably) does the same thing, most people will just pick the top 3 and go with them.
Wow! I just came across this post and noticed I was on the list. Im flattered. ;-)
ericprudolfI think the main point of the article as I understand, this is intended to not be just another, Problogger, Guy Kawaski, Mashable Twitter celebrity list.. Perhaps he could have called it"30 Must Follow SEO Twitter User who are not Twitter celebrities or problogger." ;-)Sure Problogger is HUGE in the Twitter/social media and blogging world but he has already been on many lists and most people are already aware of him. Great job tad on making this not just another Twitter celebrity list.I dont know if "30 SEO Twitter Users Who Will Return an Email." is such a good idea because Tad has now way of knowing if these twitterers will actually return emails, so that might be a misleading title. On another note....Wow! Im so flattered I made the list. Thanks for the vote of confidence Tad.
Thanks for including me, Tad! I am honored!
@seowoman You stink? Seriously? I have to remove you from the list!@SEOHolicc Youre welcome, I tried to put some people on it I dont know that good so that its not so biased. Youre one of them. I watched your tweets and you deserved it.@ericprudolf I get your point but it seems to me that you havent read the post. It has a huge explanation for a list like this whch covers every angle of it.@JamesDuthie Exactly James. @htownseoguy Youre huge too but still accessible! How do you achive that!?@annie7 This list would be ridiculous without you!
