This ones more of a fun post, but I thought it was interesting anyway :)
FUN!!!?? I live there, I surf there every morning! We have quite a few shark around there, but this looks like another surfer to me when I zoom in all the way. Hes lying on his board.
@Misscj, thats got to be a shark looking at this when zoomed in, you can compare it next to an actual surfer too.I agree, its not so fun if youre the one surfing with them! :)
No because if thats a shark then there are more further down. Theres a guy floating in the ocean above a mirror image of himself, there is also another shadow that looks like a dark grey patch - I think the camera or something has a problem. I can make out a guy on his board. We have helicopters that fly around and check for them, and one that big would have been flagged. Its a small wave day so youve got larger boards out, that shark would be min. 7ft!
What youre saying does make sense and Im sure you know far more about this than I do, although it still looks like a shark to me! :)Where are the ones further down out of interest?
Further down the coast. We do have them though! http://manly-daily.whereilive.com.au/news/story/manly-shark-scare/
looks like Misscj above is right, i tweeted this to the guys at http://googlesightseeing.com (great site btw!) and got this reply:@jaamit @kevgibbo It would be amazing if that was a shark, but unfortunately its a ghost image of the surfer. More here: http://gss.st/56Follow that link and youll see another example of the same effect... Great headline though!!
Sphunn because it was cool to see my front yard on Sphinn and because I thought it was a nice breath of fresh air as a topic! Cheers, Kevin!
Thanks Misscj, I think its always good to see different types of posts mixed into Sphinn. Just a shame it wasnt real, completely fooled me though!
