Big news just came out from the Google Adwords blog. Now you can import your established goals in Google Analytics over to your Adwords account. This means that you won’t need to separate Adwords conversion code anymore.

Hmm- I’ve never like GA goals that much (sometimes we deal with sites that don’t have a separate HTML thank you page, so goals don’t work for those; there’s a way to monkey with the GA ecommerce js if you want that kind of tracking for GA (for a non-ecommerce) site, but it’s tricky)- I prefer how the AdWords javascript works- I wish they’d gone the other way, actually- I’d rather have a better js conversion tracking option in GA.  Obviously with this, you have to have your GA goal set up right, which some people struggle with. And I don’t know what GA does to avoid double-counting conversions (bookmarked confirmation pages, e.g.)?

This has been around for about two months, guess Google just now announced it. However, there are definite errors involved as many can’t link more than the first goal in their analytics profile (the wordaround has been to crate many profiles with the first goal being the one you want to use in AdWords which is impratical). Has anyone used this successfully yet with multiple goals and AdWords reporting?
