Google – Too Much Hyper-Indexing and not enough real
results!

There is far too much information about everything

and almost nothing that really matters in the search market. Think about hyper-indexing and Google and how it’s flooded the search world with information that’s simply not relevant. How much is too much? How much is relevant? What if you wanted a specific answer to a question quickly? If you’re using Google you’re most likely going to have to sift through pages and pages on non-sense until you reach the real answer. That’s problem I see with Google and hyper-indexing. The concept is good in theory but if you’re looking for solid answers to questions then you’re probably better off using a search that doesn’t employ hyper-indexing.

The obvious upside to hyper-indexing is that it benefits traffic and search results for social media sites. The problem with that is it doesn’t always result in good search results. Again, if I’m looking for an authoritative answer to a question I might not want to see the answer on Facebook, Friendfeed, Twitter or some other social network where opinions about everything just simply.

It’s great that social media sites are getting indexing but I think it would be smarter of the search world to implement a new search type. Today Google has the option to search: web, news, images, videos etc. So how about they filters data better and add a new search type called Social? Wouldn’t it be a better solution to have that data separated from relevant search data that might help you find the answers you’re looking for without having to sort through all kinds of forums and social media sites?

I think it’s time for an overhaul of search and let’s get back to relevant data results instead of opinions from every direction. It would not only be a benefit to the user but I also think it’s the responsible thing to do.
