I hope this scares some SEO/social media folks into stopping their practice of recommending their friends go in and post reviews for their clients.

I was aghast when Rand recommended that at SES London earlier this year on the Orion panel.

I think eventually the rules and regulations that have applied to other forms of media and advertising will start being applied to Internet marketing and advertising as well. And it is about time!
