It's a classic, but useful technique. Has to be implented with thought though as it has backfired in a number or marketing campaigns.
Barnum was a genius at creating curiosity. He'd start advertising some event months in advance with ads asking things like, "Will you be ready when it comes?"
Creative guest post....great examples!
Good post ... worked on me!
@ Qwerty - after a while though, and if done in the wrong way or too frequently, it just gets annoying. Think Rogaine!
I decided not to read it - thanks for the warning :) j/k
Just drop by, skip it, and click my ads... damn I removed the ads.
Lidija Davis did a phenomenal job with this post. Not only does it make you keep reading, but it also walks the walk by doing everything that the article recommends (suck people in with a compelling title, then deliver, deliver, deliver).
Good one by Lidija! Is that Deangelo I see there in the comments?
I see anyone write Don't Read this - and have seen it so many times over the years that I really don't read it. I never clicked on the link at all and could care less. Don't get offended if you are the author, but I own offline businesses and am just gettign into internet marketing, even though I've had sites online since about 2001. I usaully have staff take care of all of this aspect of business.
Don't Read - I wont at all sicne there are so so many articles by so so many people out there.
This is just a perspective from someone who is not an expert in SEO stuff, just a business owner who hires you guys.
Only new at Sphinn and even newer to social networking so please forgive the lateness of this. I notice I'm learning much from comments - thank you.
