Disturbing Andy Beard case study of Gmail rejected Purely by GOOGLE, NOT recipient’s server. He was responding to a 100% text email from his blog’s inquiry form with 100% text. It was REJECTED! Read it and weep.

Hmm, Andy’s blog has been sending me mail on posts I didn’t subscribe to the last few days. Coincidence?

Scott there are very wierd bugs with the subscribe to comments plugin, and I have no idea why it happens, but I notice that occasionally on blogs where I subscribe to the comments. There are some other things that are also broken with it, just as if you allow subscriptions without commenting, you end up with your database filled up with spammers email addresses that are undeliverable.I am of the opinion that the benefits outweigh the bugs, and it is not quite as bad as other plugins that also send you all the trackbacks, or send you emails without the message text... that drives me crazy on popular blogs which offer email subscription but without any substance. In addition, gmail seem to send me duplicate copies of email occasionally now. There is no logical reason why I should be sent multiple copies of the same email, especially spam reports, but it happens, in fact I have received up to 4 copies of the same email.
