Let’s discuss a fairly complex and powerful SEO technique that we have been using for years. It’s very effective in helping our clients to rank for their most competitive keywords. That technique is a combination of “SEO Piggybacking” and “Content Silo Development.” While some professional SEOs have heard of one or both of these concepts, it is rare when they are correctly utilized, and even rarer when they are combined.

Excellent news letter. I am going to use the promo to get an SEO audit and get me some of those content silos at the same time...before the Holiday Season.

A friend of mine uses these guys for link building and he has been saying to me for awhile now that textlinkbrokers does a lot more than link building. Glad to hear it from the horses mouth.

Yea I am going to have to agree that this going HOT is a bit of a statement around here - not only is it NOT advanced, the post is a veiled ad being surrounded by the sales pitch as it is - FAIL

Thanks for the comments guys.  I really didnt expect this to go hot although I disagree that it is not an advanced technique (although it is a bit grey hat).  In a world where half the SEO's out there cant even get title tags right, setting up a proper content silo by itself is a step above the rest.

I realize that towards the bottom of the post I do plug our services, but the technique is solid regardless.  You may not agree with putting up "Parasite" pages but whether you agree with it or not, it is very effective.

BTW  Gypsy, I love your posts and your site, keep up the great work.

I would chime in with those who have complained about the article being blatantly advertising and thus not really deserving of a Sphinn, however the fact is that the article IS within the newsletter section of the TLB site.  When seen in that light, I think it's a perfectly legitimate article, written in a way that I have been encouraging many small business clients to do over the years.

It offers real tips and suggestions to help readers, and only throws the pitch toward the bottom - in a newsletter context.

Personally I wouldn't sphinn it because it's not a stand-alone SEO article and Sphinn should not be used as a way to promote clearly obvious advertising articles.  I just don't think it's right to slam the article given it's context.

Just sayin

While the article does offer SEO tips, it's clearly an advertising tool for the writer. It's not a bad article, and it's quite obvious that it was originally written in the context of a company's tips and suggestions newsletter - so it's really obvious to me that no deception was used in its writing. I just don't think Sphinn is the place to be promoting company pitch newsletters.

i don't care too much if this is advanced or basic, nor if this is advertising or not (we are all supposed to be able to detect the interesting part of a post and what we can simply ignore).

but i can say i used this since 2005 and always found it effective. that's why i'm sphinn it.
