How have companies with more than 1,000 employees been faring with employees and their social media use? According to multiple recent studies, it appears that many companies have encountered problems and these problems are escalating.

A company that tries to ignore social media will reap their reward in less sales and lower profits. Most are still in the stone age as far as twitter, some are trying to fire workers that post stuff on their blogs about the company.

Reality is that in the future the line between work/home will blur ever so more.

Good article. One of our clients has embraced facebook this year, encouraging staff to jump-start the presence and now customers are joining in large numbers to create a vibrant online presence which will have benefits for their business.  Think it through, set guidelines, but don't stick your head in the sand!
