A minor debate has been going in the UK over whether it's time to free men from neckties (I completely endorse this move). Turns out Peter Fleischer, who oversees privacy issues for Google, isn't staying private on his views. In a letter to the Financial Times, he wants men freed from wearing useless bits of fabric around their necks: "I work at Google. Our unofficial motto is, 'Be serious without a suit'."

It also seems that Google is against ties because they are part of the suit thing, which helps to hide paunches. The concept of Do No Evil seems to be expanding. It now includes Just Do It, preferably in a gym.
