Jason - great tactic. I have used this to provide a nice burst of traffic to my blog through LinkedIn groups. The only thing that I have noticed lately is that people are posting a bunch of garbage and it clutters it up and devalues the News section for these Groups.
Yes, I've noticed that as well. I think a lot of it depends on the groups you associate with as well. I've had luck avoiding much of the garbage thus far.
