I'm adding my Sphinn because of the debate for sure. I totally disagree with the oversimplification put forth in the article, yet we as an industry need to be willing to discuss these things and debate the various aspects we each think matter.
I have seen many people who just speak on this and think adding content will help us to rank them higher but what they miss is the get into a right balance of all related tasks...which is the key....
I realize its all relevent- but content matters. I use to work on a piano website- and I updating the content mattered when compared to its competitors. More then that as well, the revolving content also helped the site optimized for words i never planned for- like 'portland steinway'. A useless term mostly, but he gained 46 clicks in two weeks.
