In which part of Usa Today would it appear?

At first glance this seems really cool...but what are the benefits to this?  I guess I'm not really seeing that. The where is definitely a good question.  Plus if you forget to cancel you are going to be charged 40 bucks a month.

You apparently get listed in the online version of Blogger and Podcaster mag:  http://www.bloggerandpodcaster.com as well as in the USA Today blog list for 1 month free

It would be great to be listed on a high-profile site like usatoday.com, but I imagine they are planning on at least a few people forgetting to cancel after the first free month and, so, they get a charge on their credit card.

This is almost as good as "click here for free porn."

Some adult sites use the same tactic to lure people into their sites and fool them into spending money. I'm a little disappointed blogs like this aren't upfront about the costs involved and that I have to find out the details by digging into comments.

has anybody spotted where a blog from the directory was listed within an article? the directory is not on the usatoday wewbsite, it's at thebpguide.com. all there is on usatoday.com that i have seen is an ad at the bottom of the homepage linking to the directory. interesting idea but a bit misleading i think. b&p should spring for an ad at the bottom of the usatoday blog index page where folks are actually looking for blogs. also, no link juice from usatoday with ads being the linking method. :(

Yeah, having your blog listed on thebpguide.com for $40/mo isn't quite as enticing.
