It will also be interesting to see how Google's push for page-speed optimisation deals with Flash loading times. If they take speed as a ranking factor that may give additional ammo to the anti-flash side of the argument. Not just full-flash sites but those who embed movies for animation may move to optimised JavaScript instead.

That's a great point, Nick. With the emphasis Matt Cutts gave it at #pubcon that is something we'll definitely have to consider b/c it will most definitely slow it down.
