Useful post by Graywolf illustrating why you should keep apostrophes and other punctuation out of your company or brand name. Google treats these variations as separate words, with their own search volume. By splitting the volume you are making it harder to reach the level where you will be awarded Site Links.

It’s funny.  About two years ago a vendor wanted to sell me a database that did not use apostrophes.  I told him it would screw up my SEO and he did not believe me. I guess it would have helped me rank for typos so he was half-way right.

andrew i think you still made a wise decision. you can always remove apostrophes easier than you can insert them where they are needed. i’d like to try using no apostrophes in titles and meta data, but keep them in all page copy for readability.

I’m surprised that Google allows a laziness of written English to rank more highly than the proper grammatical spelling.I would have thought that the proper term would be surrounded by the variants — such as typos...
