It appears that mommy bloggers got hit in the last week with another Google smackdown. Wendy is livid as the Google SERPS are still full of junk.

Sorry but this is a pretty misleading title. Google is hitting sites that sell links, if you sell them through a major broker you stand out like a sore thumb.FTA "I had the impression they were going after sites that sell text link ads directly to advertisers or the PayPerPost crowd - I really didn’t think they would start targeting bloggers that were only using textlinkads.com"Thats exactly what they are doing.

What about sites that don’t sell links but went from PR6 to PR3?Is there any evidence that linking to SEOs in posts (on non-seo blogs) makes your site/blog appear suspicious?

I agree with Patrick. Google is not cracking down on "Mommy Bloggers" but bloggers who are using services search as TextLinkAds as a way to montize their blog.
