So what happens when a website participates in a link exchange - also known as affiliate - program? The logical answer is: links for that network and website lose value. At least, they once did. Enter the free text link ads network TNX, a "revolution to text linking."

That’s not a "revolution to text linking", unfortunately. Google handles TNX links just like any other paid/artificial links, that is they’re devalued coz Google has identified the whole TNX network already. See http://sphinn.com/story.php?id=12735
