Nice article. Reputation management is a hot topic for me as of late. I laughed when I read that it already has its own acronym (ORM).
One question though... I wonder whether just creating the profiles would really have much of an effect. Is it worth it to have these profiles if you're not active on these sites? Also it looks like the company behind the article, Knowem, has a service that will create 100+ social media profiles for you. Has anyone used this? Had any good results?
What I find interesting is the idea of quantity over quality. It is physically impossible to manage and be active on 100+ social media sites. Instead, build your personal brand, and your business via active outlets on a dozen or so social media sites. I feel like this is a much better strategy.

I think that the multiple accounts are to prevent the malicious use of a company name/individual in setting up harmful accounts in that name. The article does go on to say concentrate on building on a few of those accounts
