If possums taught me one thing, it's that playing dead can be a great tactic. 'Yup, we're done. No reason to come over here. Stay over there in your social media circle. We're dead. Yup. Thanks. Bye!'
@kevinspence you summed up my feelings with these few comments. Thanks for getting it.
Saying SEO is dead is similar to saying PPC is dead. All evidence points to the contrary.
One of the best blogs regarding SEO. thx
If SEO is DEAD? & PPC is DEAD. What left to kill for next year? How do You kill that which has no life? - World of Warcraft South Park Episode (Won an Emmy!)

Interesting. Agreed, as long as there are web retailers who are having trouble reaching their audiences via traditional then SEO & PPC will remain in demand.
But perhaps as K Spence mentioned possums should be our role models-LOL
Great piece. We inherit sites all of the time that either had no SEO or lousy SEO. For all the years and conferences and info sharing, it's amazing that more people aren't making SEO inroads. I'm glad they missed the opportunity - keeps us busy. I just wish more people didn't view SEO as a one time exercise. It's far from it, although foundational elements sure pay off.
Agree wholeheartedly. I'm getting tired of all the "SEO is dead" linkbait crap that has been going around. *phew*
