Just when I'm starting to get the hang of this link thing they tell me they're going to change all the rules again.

But the writers make some good points.  Twitter and Facebook have changed the landscape and the crawlers are going to have to adjust so they can stay relevant.

Well written article and I agree with the importance of mobile search.  I believe that the mobile phone market and the abilities to interact with these phones will be the new frontier for the next few years.  One thing I wonder about is the statement of Bing being a legitimate #2.  I have heard the same think about Linux Desktop OS becoming a legitimate #2 in the OS market for over 10 years and it has still failed to materialize.  Lets see a little more evidence from Bing before we crown a true competitor to Google.
